Combining water, sanitation, and hygiene (WaSH) interventions with efforts to reduce neglected tropical diseases (NTD) is critical for large-scale strategies to reduce parasite-induced malnutrition in Venezuela. Today, more investment is needed to support research institutions working with identification of parasitic infections in the country, to target investment opportunities from the humanitarian sector. Global WaSH is working in Venezuela with the partner research institution, the Venezuelan Science Incubator, in the program “Deworming Venezuela“.
